Weekly Fishing Report Sept 2
My Joyce III Weekly Report
Montauk, NY
Last Sunday morning's trip was a bit slow on the bass grounds, but we had lock and load with the sea bass, and we had some nice fluke in the mix too.
Sunday afternoon's trip was better with a few bass up to 30lbs and a nice limit of sea bass to 4lbs.
On Monday, the boys from upstate at Whit's End Tavern did a morning bottom trip, where it was lock and load on giant sea bass and some really nice sized porgies.
We went out again for the afternoon trip, and produced a limit of giant sea bass and and nice fluke.
On Tuesday, we took Scott and his son for a bass run, but the fishing was slow. We switched to sea bass and fluke and we had an easy limit of sea bass and nice fluke up to 7lbs.
Wednesday, we took Eric and his family for a lock and load bottom fishing trip. In the afternoon, we took Mike from Ireland's family, who had a blast with an easy limit of sea bass. We also caught a few bass to 25lbs and some blues.
For Thursday, we did a morning trip for the Rosen family, where they continued to bend the rods on all bottom dwellers, capping the day off with a 9lb doormat fluke.
Thursday's afternoon trip for Gerry and family produced a nice limit of giant sea bass and some really nice fluke.
Unfortunately Friday and Saturday, we were blown out, but overall it was a great week of fishing!
